Third-Year Resident
Dr. Sonny Guram received a bachelor of science in economics, magna
cum laude, from Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina, in
1999. He earned a doctor of medicine from the Medical University
of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, in 2005.
During Dr. Guram’s undergraduate education he was honored
with the 1999 Faculty Award for Microeconomic Theory. He participated
in undergraduate research with immunohistochemistry experiments
on rat kidney tissue slides that had been exposed to ischemia and
subsequent reperfusion injury.
